Welcome to OnRAMP

The Ontario Government is responding to the varying needs of municipalities by piloting a regional web portal project – the Ontario Regional Area Municipal Portal (OnRAMP). These web pages are designed to enhance municipal client information and support services. The Northeastern OnRAMP provides an online portal to resources tailored to the needs of municipalities in Northeastern (NE) Ontario.

Municipal Search Tool

The OnRAMP regional search tool has been recently replaced with a search tool created by AMCTO with support from the Ministry. This new search tool allows you to search all municipal websites, or to limit your search to municipal websites within the northeast. In addition, you can search by AMCTO zone, by size of municipality and by northern vs. southern municipalities. Click here to open the AMCTO search tool in a new window.

2009 FONOM/MMAH Conference

The Northeastern Municipal Services Office in partnership with the Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities (FONOM) recently held another successful annual regional conference in Sudbury, May 6 -8. Click here for more details.

Amendments to Municipal Act, 2001 Proclaimed

January 1, 2007, Toronto - Amendments to the Municipal Act, 2001, the legislation providing the authority for Ontario municipalities, were proclaimed today providing local governments with new broad powers and significant legislative freedoms.

Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB) /Asset Management

The Municipal Finance Officers' Association (MFOA) and the Association of Municipal Managers, Clerks and Treasurers of Ontario (AMCTO) have collaborated in a strategic partnership to launch this site to provide municipal staff with timely, useful, and accurate advice and information on PSAB changes, asset management, and long-term financial planning.
