The ministry provides indices for costs and revenues to calculate subsidies under the Social Housing Reform Act (SHRA) on an annual basis. With the amendment to SHRA Regulation 339 filed on September 6, 2007, which comes into effect on January 1, 2008, some aspects of the calculation and application of cost and revenue indices for 2008 have been altered.

The indices which need to be used in the calculation of subsidies for 2008 - which are based on the amendment - are in the attached tables. Also attached are guidelines for their use:
