was established in 1995 and
recognizes the outstanding
achievements of ministry
employees who excel in the
performance of their work and
provide quality services to their
clients.
- Amethyst Awards for Outstanding Achievement by Ontario Public ServantsThe award was established in
1993 and
designed to recognize outstanding
achievements by people, not
programs, in
the Ontario Public Service (OPS).
These
are people who have extended
themselves, whether in creating a
whole
new way of delivering a service,
developing time and money-saving
technology, or showing
extraordinary
professionalism and care in
performing
their daily tasks.
- Long-standing Service ProgramThis award was introduced by the
Ontario government to recognize
municipally elected officials with
25 or 50 years of service.
- Ministry of Citizenship and ImmigrationThe ministry organizes a series of
annual awards programs to
recognize outstanding professional
and volunteer contributions to
Ontario. These awards
promote responsible citizenship by
publicly saluting those who have
made
exceptional contributions to the
common
good. Special commemorative
functions
are also organized to celebrate the
participation of all Ontarians in the
life of the province.
