The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing welcomes you to the homepage of the Municipal Financial Information (MFI) publications, or 'Greenbook' as it is otherwise known.

The Greenbook is an annual statutory report prepared in compliance with Section 294 (3) of the Municipal Act, which requires the Ministry to submit a tabulated statement of municipal financial information to the Legislature.

These standard reports are compiled from the yearly Financial Information Returns (FIR) submitted by each Ontario municipality to the Ministry and provide an overview of each municipality's demographic profile, assessment base and financial operations for the year.
