  • Canadian Brownfields Network (CBN)http://www.canadianbrownfieldsnetwork.ca/
    The CBN is a national voice and an advocacy network for practitioners and stakeholders who want to effect change regarding brownfields redevelopment and urban revitalization in Canada. The CBN facilitates linkages and connectivity within private industry, builds capacity and co-ordinates the exchange of ideas, expertise and success stories.

  • National Brownfields Association (NBA)
    The NBA is a non-profit, educational organization that supports responsible redevelopment of brownfields. The key goals of the NBA chapter are to advance the brownfields market and provide market exposure, acquisition opportunities and education around liability relief mechanisms and incentives for its membership.
  • Federation of Canadian Municipalities - Green Municipal Fund (GMF)
    The Green Municipal Fund (GMF) was established to stimulate investment in innovative municipal infrastructure projects. The Fund supports partnerships, leveraging both public and private sector funding to encourage municipal actions in such areas as: sustainable community planning, solid waste management and brownfields redevelopment.

  • National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy (NRTEE)http://www.fcm.ca/english/gmf/gmf.html
    In February 2003, the NRTEE released the National Brownfield Redevelopment Strategy. The strategy’s recommendations address key barriers to brownfield redevelopment including: legal uncertainty surrounding environmental liability, lack of capital and understanding of the issues.

    Despite the numerous obstacles facing brownfields redevelopment, successful redevelopment projects have been built across Canada. CMHC showcases various case studies of residential projects that have overcome the barriers to brownfields redevelopment.
  • Environmental Careers Organization Canada
    ECO Canada develops programs that meet both the demand of employers (recruitment and retention tools and human resource materials) and facilitates the supply of labour by providing practitioners and students with career resources, internships, and certification.
  • Ontario Centre for Environmental Technology Advancement (OCETA)http://www.oceta.on.ca/
    OCETA is a private sector, not-for-profit corporation that provides business services to entrepreneurs, start-up companies and small to medium size enterprises. It assists the commercialization of new environmental technologies and supports sustainable economic development. OCETA is a catalyst for action on environmental issues such as site remediation and brownfields redevelopment.

    aboutREMEDIATION is a leading information resource on site remediation and brownfields redevelopment.  Stakeholders and practitioners can access relevant information and tools to guide them through remediation, reclamation and redevelopment. The Ontario Municipal Brownfields Redevelopment Toolbox has been developed as a guide and resource for Ontario municipalities to assist them with urban renewal, redevelopment and revitalization.

  • Canadian Real Estate Association
    The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) is one of Canada's largest single-industry trade associations, representing more than 92,000 real estate Brokers/agents and salespeople working through more than 100 real estate Boards and Associations.
