Investment in Affordable Housing for Ontario - Program Guidelines - pdf (1Mb)
The Investment in Affordable Housing for Ontario program (IAH) will provide $480.6 million in federal and provincial funding for the creation and repair of affordable housing over four years. The IAH will provide increased flexibility, with accountability, to municipal Service Managers, housing proponents, and other housing partners to deliver affordable housing in their communities.
These Guidelines describe the various components of the IAH program and outline the program’s requirements.
- Affordable Housing Program Extension (2009) and Social Housing Renovation and Retrofit Program (SHRRP)The AHP Extension (2009) – which consists of the New Rental Housing, Homeownership and Northern components – and the Social Housing Renovation and Retrofit Program (SHRRP) are partnerships between the federal and provincial governments to create and repair affordable housing units across Ontario. This investment will create jobs in construction and renovation and improve the lives of people with low incomes by creating new affordable housing.
