This is a follow up to the SHBnotification Release 02-03 “Service Manager Reporting to Province”

MMAH, as part of it’s Annual Reporting to CMHC, is required to provide statistical information in a format as set out in Schedule “H” of the Social Housing Agreement (SHA) with its audited “Statement of Funding and Expenditures”.

In Release 02-03 the ministry advised SM’s that:

  • We require SM’s to provided statistical information (Page “4”, of the SMAIR), for Public Housing and Rent Supplement Programs including the total number of households, number of targeted households and average annual gross household income by client type.
  • And informed SM’s that “To compile statistical information for the non-profit programs (Programs 3 to 8) the ministry may contact service managers to assistance in preparing a survey and gathering information, required for reporting, from a sampling of providers”.

Since SM’s are required to provided the information for Programs 1 & 2, MMAH has prepared a survey (attached) that we require SM’s to distribute to a representative sampling of their providers to compile the statistical information for Programs 3 to 8 and forward the information for inclusion in our Annual Report to CMHC. This information should be based on a snapshot in time and from a consistency standpoint we would ask that it be based on a point in time around December 31, 2001. (An electronic version of the survey is available through the contact at the bottom of this release.)

The sampling for the information required may be estimates based on reliable sampling techniques and must represent a sampling of all programs that the SM administers.

We require the completed survey or a summary of the surveys completed to be submitted no later than December 6, 2002 to provide sufficient time for compilation of the information for our report to CMHC.

A summary of the sampling undertaken and the completed surveys or summary of the completed surveys is to be sent to:
