There have been recent housekeeping amendments to both the Social Housing Reform Act, 2000 (SHRA) and some of its regulations. Specifically:
The tables to Ontario Regulation 339/01 and Ontario Regulation 456/01, and Schedules to Ontario Regulation 369/01 have been amended to add the December 1, 2002 housing provider transfers to various service managers. Table 7 of Ontario Regulation 368/01 has been amended to reflect the new service levels resulting from those transfers.
Ontario Regulation 298/01 has been amended to add a payment received under the
Dr. Albert Rose bursary program to the list of items not included as income under subsection 50(3). Table 2 of the regulation was amended to include the supportive housing providers transferred on December 1, 2002.
French versions of Ontario Regulation 642/00, Ontario Regulation 298/01, Ontario Regulation 339/01, Ontario Regulation 368/01, Ontario Regulation 369/01 and Ontario Regulation 436/01 have now been appended to the relevant regulations.
Ontario Regulation 368/01 was amended to state subsection 193(4) of the Municipal Act and 268(3) of the Municipal Act, 2001 do not apply to transfers of real property from Toronto Housing Company Inc. to Toronto Community Housing Corporation.
Ontario Regulation 642/00 has been amended to replace references to the Municipal Act with the appropriate reference to the Municipal Act, 2001.
The SHRA has been amended, where necessary, to replace references to the Municipal Act with appropriate references to the Municipal Act, 2001. Subsection 8(6) of the SHRA was amended to reference the applicable sections of the Municipal Act, 2001 and to retain a reference to subsection 123(8) of the Municipal Act as it read on December 31, 2002.
