On January 31, 2007, the date of proclamation, the Tenant Protection Act, 1997, was replaced by the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006.
The Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 (the Act)
The mandate of the Investigation and Enforcement Unit can be found in Part XV (sections 227 to 232) of the Act.
The offences can be found in Part XVI (sections 233 to 237), and the maximum penalties are set out in section 238.

Legislative Amendments
